Travel Itinerary
The First Day - Journey from Arusha to the Tarangire Wildlife Sanctuary
Covering a distance of 30km to 50km, the journey does not involve game viewing for about 2 hours. Your adventure will commence with a hotel pickup, where you will get acquainted with your guide, chef, and fellow travelers. Our destination is Tarangire National Park, a renowned location for its varied landscapes, accessible after a 2-hour drive. The park is particularly famous for its vast population of ancient baobab trees and the highest concentration of elephants in the entire country. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to witness the interactions within elephant families. Our game drive will take us through the park, focusing on areas where animal sightings have been reported. While lions, cheetahs, and leopards may be more elusive, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are commonly spotted throughout the park. Following this, we will head to the Tarangire River picnic spot to savor lunch while enjoying the picturesque views of the river and wildlife. Be alert for mischievous small monkeys and baboons attempting to share your meal, although they pose no harm, so there is no need for concern.
The Second Day - National Park of the Serengeti
Covering a distance of 145 kilometers, the day kicks off with a delightful breakfast before embarking on a journey towards Serengeti National Park through the picturesque high farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As we bid farewell to the elevated terrains, we make our descent into the untamed heart of Africa—the Serengeti National Park—where vast plains stretch out endlessly, disappearing into the horizon. Our next destination is the central Seronera area, renowned for its diverse wildlife population and the Seronera River, a vital water source that attracts a wide range of Serengeti's animal species. Upon arrival, a sumptuous lunch awaits before we set out for an afternoon safari adventure in the Serengeti National Park.
The Third Day - From the Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Caldera
Covering a distance of 145 kilometers, the journey from Seronera in Serengeti National Park does not involve game viewing and takes around 2 to 4 hours. The day will kick off with an early breakfast followed by an exciting morning game drive to observe a variety of wildlife until the afternoon. Later, we will return to camp for lunch and to prepare for departure. During the game drive, we will exit the Serengeti and make our way towards Simba campsite, which is approximately a 2-hour drive away and located close to the Ngorongoro Crater rim. It's worth noting that animals can often be seen around the campsites, adding to the overall safari experience.
The Fourth Day - Traveling from the Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Covering a distance of 210km, the journey to the Ngorongoro Crater involves a non-game viewing time of approximately 3 to 4 hours. Following a hearty breakfast, our adventure begins with a descent of over 600 meters into the crater where a diverse range of wildlife awaits. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts a rich ecosystem supported by a consistent water supply and abundant fodder. Here, you can observe various animals such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and majestic African elephants. This area is also renowned for its concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, requiring a keen eye to spot. Our exploration will take us to Lake Magadi, a vast alkaline lake located in the southwest corner of the crater, known for its populations of hippos, flamingos, and numerous water birds. As the day draws to a close, we will transport you to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your chosen hotel.
