Travel Itinerary
The First Day - Journey from Arusha to the Tarangire Wildlife Sanctuary
Following breakfast at your lodging in Arusha, our driver-guide will greet you and provide a brief orientation. Subsequently, you will embark on a safari in Tarangire National Park. This park is situated alongside the Tarangire River, characterized by gentle hills on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Its landscape features acacia woodlands, imposing African baobab trees, and expansive swamplands in the southern region. These water sources attract a plethora of wildlife during Tanzania's dry season. Tarangire National Park is renowned for hosting large elephant herds, as well as three rare species: greater Kudu, fringed-eared oryx, and Ashy starlings. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed before continuing the game drive until dusk. Later, you will transfer to Ngedere budget Lodge for an overnight stay.
The Second Day - From Mto wa Mbu to the Serengeti National Park
You will spend the entire day immersed in the wildlife wonders of the Serengeti. Following a delicious breakfast, we will take you to explore the vast Serengeti National Park, known as the third-largest in Tanzania. This park is famous for being home to the Big Five and many other fascinating animals. Your morning game drive will offer you a chance to marvel at the diverse wildlife that roams these lands. Following a break for lunch, you will continue your adventure with another game drive. As the day winds down, you will head back to the camp for a satisfying dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
The Third Day - From Serengeti National Park to the Highlands of Ngorongoro
Today's adventure involves descending more than 600 meters into the crater for an up-close wildlife experience. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a diverse range of animals, thanks to its consistent water supply and abundant food sources. Among the many species found here are wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants. The park is also known for its high concentration of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards that can be quite challenging to spot. Additionally, the area is frequented by a variety of flamingos, hippos, and other waterfowl. As the day winds down, you'll be transported to the campsite for an overnight stay.
The Fourth Day - Travel from the Ngorongoro Crater to the city of Arusha
Located in the northern region of Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts the expansive and volcanic Ngorongoro Crater, where you can spot the renowned Big Five animals – elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos. Witness the spectacular sight of large herds of wildebeests and zebras crossing the plains during their annual migration. As you explore the area, you'll see livestock from the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe peacefully coexisting with the diverse wildlife. Discover ancient hominin fossils in the Olduvai Gorge that date back millions of years. Later in the day, your journey will take you back to Arusha after leaving the national park.
