Travel Itinerary
The First Day - Journeying from Arusha to the Splendors of Tarangire National Park
Upon leaving your accommodation, we will greet you and introduce you to the guide and chef before embarking on a scenic journey to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-hour drive away. This park is renowned for its diverse terrain, with a special highlight being the presence of majestic ancient baobab trees and the largest population of elephants in the entire nation. It offers a unique opportunity to witness the intricate dynamics within elephant herds. Your visit will include a safari drive through the park, focusing on areas where animal sightings have been recently reported, with a special emphasis on elusive predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. However, the park is also abundant with herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras, providing ample wildlife viewing opportunities. Following this, we will head to the picturesque Tarangire River picnic spot, where you can savor lunch while admiring the stunning river views and observing the local wildlife. Keep an eye out for playful monkeys and baboons as they may attempt to join your meal, but there's no need for concern.
The Second Day - From Mto wa Mbu to the Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti sprawls across an extensive 14,750 square kilometers (5,700 sq mi), renowned for the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras. These creatures engage in a unique symbiotic relationship for their mutual benefit. Our primary destination will be Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti. Upon your late afternoon arrival, you will enjoy a leisurely lunch before embarking on a thrilling game drive in Seronera until dusk, offering an exceptional opportunity to witness a stunning Serengeti sunset and observe wild animals up close. With luck, you might even witness a predator in pursuit or during a kill. Subsequently, you will retire to the Seronera campsite for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.
The Third Day - From Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Crater
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive in Seronera, Serengeti National Park. Spend the morning observing a variety of wildlife before returning to camp for lunch. Afterward, enjoy another game drive as you depart from Serengeti and make your way towards Ngorongoro Simba Campsite located on the edge of Ngorongoro Crater, approximately a two-hour drive away.
The Fourth Day - From Ngorongoro Crater to the City of Arusha
Considered the top wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater boasts a stunning landscape that makes wildlife spotting easier. Following a delightful breakfast, you will journey to the Ngorongoro viewpoint to marvel at the breathtaking scenery. The panoramic view is truly awe-inspiring. Next, you will descend into the crater in search of the elusive black rhinos. While these creatures are challenging to spot, other animals are more readily visible in this unique crater setting. The Ngorongoro Crater stands out as a premier destination in Tanzania, offering unparalleled natural beauty and abundant wildlife. The crater's ecosystem supports a diverse array of animals, keeping them content within its confines without the need for migration. Following lunch, a game drive awaits before ascending the crater and returning to your hotel in Arusha.
The Fifth Day - Explore the Splendor of Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Plantations from Arusha
Nestled in the heart of the Chagga community lies Materuni, an untouched village exuding authenticity. Situated just a short 15km drive from the bustling Moshi Town, Materuni stands as the final village before the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. Your day will commence with a morning pick-up by our knowledgeable guide fluent in English, who will whisk you away to Materuni Village. Upon arrival at the majestic waterfalls, you'll be greeted by a breathtaking sight as they cascade over 80 meters in height. The crystal-clear pool beneath the falls beckons for a revitalizing swim, so remember to pack your swimwear! Prepare to delve into the intricacies of coffee cultivation, drying, roasting, and processing as you tour the village. You'll even have the opportunity to assist with grinding the coffee beans, a hands-on experience not to be missed. Concluding your visit, you will be chauffeured back to Arusha or the airport, leaving Materuni with unforgettable memories.
