Travel Itinerary
First Day - Journey from Arusha to the Tarangire Wildlife Sanctuary
Embark on a scenic journey through the magnificent Tarangire National Park, often referred to as the "land of giants". Traverse the vast golden savannah bordering the Tarangire River, home to majestic elephants and ancient baobab trees. Delight in a delightful picnic lunch at a designated site, soaking in the breathtaking views of the river. Be vigilant with your meal, as mischievous monkeys may attempt to snatch a bite if given the opportunity. The thrilling safari adventure will conclude late in the evening, leading you to your chosen lodging for a delectable dinner. Rest well and rejuvenate for another exciting day ahead.
The Second Day - From Mto wa mbu to the Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, we will set off early, making our way across the floor of the magnificent Great Rift Valley, ascending the escarpment, and journeying through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As we travel to the Serengeti, you will be treated to a delightful and picturesque drive, offering stunning views and captivating landscapes. Upon reaching the Serengeti, we will embark on an afternoon game drive that extends into the evening. A delicious lunch awaits at one of the charming picnic spots, most likely at the Naabi Hill Gate, providing a perfect opportunity to take a leisurely stroll. Immerse yourself in the rich Maasai culture by visiting their renowned bomas. Engage in traditional Maasai dances, explore the Maasai village, and learn about their unique customs. While the Maasai were once known for lion hunting and the ritual of drinking raw cow blood to prove warrior status (now a rare practice), you can still witness their fascinating heritage. Don't miss the chance to browse for mementos at the vibrant local Maasai market.
The Third Day - From Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Plateau
Start your day with a delightful breakfast to boost your spirits, followed by an early morning safari in the Serengeti plains for the chance to witness lions, leopards, and other predators in their natural habitat. The sunrise over the Serengeti is truly awe-inspiring, painting the vast plains with hues of fire as the sun ascends. Following a leisurely lunch at a scenic picnic spot, we will venture further into the endless expanse of the Serengeti grasslands. Later, we will journey to Ngorongoro and check into your chosen accommodation, where a delicious dinner will be awaiting you. Make sure to get a good night's rest to recharge for another exciting day ahead.
The Fourth Day - The Crater of Ngorongoro
Embark on a unique journey through the depths of an ancient volcano teeming with incredible wildlife and immersed in the heart of nature's wonders. Kick off the day with a fresh morning meal before setting off on our highly-anticipated adventure to the Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier you descend into the crater's depths, the better your chances of encountering elusive creatures like black rhinoceroses. Explore the Ngorongoro Crater for the majority of the morning, where the towering walls create a natural sanctuary hosting a diverse array of wild animals. After a delightful picnic, possibly at the designated spot overlooking the hippo pool, we will ascend the crater's rim and exit the conservation area.
The Fifth Day - From Lake Manyara to Arusha: A Scenic Journey
Following your morning meal, you will check out from your lodging and make your way to Lake Manyara National Park. After a brief exploration of the local market, you will venture into Lake Manyara National Park, capturing numerous photographs along the way. Bird enthusiasts will be captivated by the wide array of bird species present at Lake Manyara. This park is a haven for birdwatchers, offering the chance to witness large gatherings of flamingos and various other bird species. Boasting exceptional wildlife sightings, Lake Manyara is a paradise for photographers. Upon completing the tour, you will be chauffeured back to Arusha, concluding your excursion.
